STOP AND SMELL THE ROSÉ

NO WAY, ROSÉ!

NOEL, WILL YOU ACCEPT THIS ROSÉ?!

OK. IM DONE….😂

It is no secret that I have a love for all wines, especially rosé! I actually got my wine connoisseur certification in Italy a couple of years ago! (I really hope that makes me sound cool/interesting, I need all the help I can get 😂) One of my favorites things to learn about wine is how different wines pair with different foods because of the different characteristics each of them have!  I thought it would be cool to incorporate my love for wine & my love for food by baking a fun sparkling rosé donuts recipe! This sweet wine-infused little treat combines the delicate flavor of Sparkling Rosé with a hint of strawberries, & is perfect for any girls/date night, Valentine’s Day, or even a weekend brunch!

You guys can print this recipe card or save it to your phone!

I couldn’t find edible dried rose petals, so I looked it up on google, and this is what I found! When it comes to making edible dried rose petals, you MUST use roses that are organic, pesticide-free, or else it isn’t edible! Alls I did was pick each petal off the flower, and spread it on a cookie sheet, and made sure they were touching. I sprinkled each petal with a little sugar, and popped it in the over at 200ºF for about 45 minutes!

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF, and lightly coat your doughnut pan with cooking spray. Set aside for later.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the following dry ingredients: flour, ground strawberries, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, vegetable oil, egg, vanilla extract, Rosé wine, and milk until all ingredients are combined.
  4. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, and keep mixing until fully combined.
  5. Transfer the batter into a zippered plastic bag (I made the mistake of not using a zippered bag, opps!) or piping bag to make it easier for you to pour the batter into the baking sheet. Fill each circle 2/3 of the way full.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of donut comes out clean with no batter sticking to it. Cook in the pan for 2 to 3 minutes, and then transfer the donuts to a wire rack to cool.
  7. With the remaining batter, repeat with lightly coating the pan with more nonstick cooking spray before pouring the batter into the pan.
  8. For the icing: In a bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, freeze-dried strawberries, heavy cream, and Rosé wine until all is combined.
  9. Dip cooled doughnuts into the glaze, and then top it off with a dried rose petal!
  10. Rosé all day!!

I hope y’all enjoy this recipe! Let me know if you guys end up making it, I would love to know what you think of it! I actually want to try this recipe using either almond milk or coconut milk to see if it will still come out good, since I actually don’t eat dairy! Hopefully I can refrain from eating all of them, so I can save and share some with my boyfriend, when I go visit him this weekend to celebrate Valentine’s Day! I hope y’all enjoy Valentine’s Day, and do something fun with someone or for yourself! I will be watching Fifty Shades of Grey with my girlfriend Tina, so BIG PLANS PEOPLE! I low-key love those movies & books 🙈

MY FIRST TIME AT NEW YORK FASHION WEEK 2018

I headed to New York City on Friday for the 2nd day of Fashion Week with my boyfriend, Cash to attend an event I was invited to that I will talk about later in this post! We had plans of just walking around for the day, taking pictures of my outfit that I wore during the day, and do a bit of shopping, BUT life had another plan for me! I had these most epic of epic NYFW Fails ever…… I forgot my outfit that I was suppose to wear for my event at home………Yeah, I was that girl that didn’t pack her outfit for NYFW.

So instead of walking around and relaxing for the day, I was frantically running around Soho to find an outfit for the event I had later that night! I went to Topshop, Zara, Forever 21, and I didn’t find anything. Cash and I were walking to another store when we ran into this random boutique that seemed good from what they had in their windows. When we walked in the store, Cash spotted a jumpsuit that was almost identical to what I was suppose to wear! IT WAS A MIRACLE! I instantly bought it, and hoped it fit right, because I originally had to get my original outfit hemmed because it was way too long for me!

denim jacket: Topshop || top: Free People || jeans: Lulus || booties: Missguided || sunglasses: Amazon

MIDORI LINEA NYFW EVENT

So finally, its time for the event!! My outfit miraculously fit me perfectly, and everything worked out perfectly! The event I attended that night was for a luxury jewelry brand called Midori Linea. They were showcasing their new pieces for their new Magical Galaxy Collection. I had such an amazing time! I met 4 amazing girls there that night, and decided we all want to meet up again in NYC, and collaborate together! It was so nice and refreshing meeting girls who had the same passion and love for what I do, and just how genuine they all were with supporting one another. At that moment in the night, I realized I made the absolute right decision to get into the makeup/fashion industry, and validated that I am doing exactly what I am suppose to be doing in this world.

Cash and I of course got drinks, he stuck to his favorite: an old fashioned, and ya girl got tons of prosecco! 😍 Also, during the night I got my hair done by @topknotsbyaimee (this is her handle for Instagram), and it turned out amazing! She did 2 little fishtails on each side and pinned them in the back! To top off the night, I saw the new collection, and decided to get a piece from it! I fell in love with the hand piece that I am wearing in the picture below! It was super simple, but so my style!

Overall, I had an amazing night, and it was amazing being invited to my 1st NYFW event! I definitely want to keep pursuing my passion, and hopefully in years to come I can be able to attend more events, and maybe one day a fashion show—-ultimate goal🙈

HOW I TAKE MY OWN PROFESSIONAL PICTURES

Every time someone I know sees my Instagram pictures, the same response happens “OMG who takes your pictures?! They’re amazing!” And when I respond “I do” they are shocked ahahah

It is absolutely possible to take your own professional photos, whether it’s for photography reasons, or YouTube, blog, & Instagram purposes, like me! If I can do it, you can do it too! It definitely was a learning curve for me to learn camera settings, shooting in raw, Lightroom editing, camera angles, getting over my fear of shooting in public etc, but I will share my tips that I have learned along the way to help make it a little easier for you!

1. A Tripod Will Be Your Best Friend

Nothing would be possible if it wasn’t for my “instagram boyfriend” aka my tripod! My actual boyfriend has taken some of my photos when we are together, but we are long distance, so I had to find an alternate solution! If you don’t have anyone to take your pictures, than a tripod makes it easy for you to do it yourself! It allows you to keep the camera focused and steady, and you can adjust the tripod’s height how ever you like your shots to be!

Yes, it is a tad awkward to be in public with a huge tripod and a dslr camera, while people are staring at you, BUT if you are serious about this and want professional photos you will make it work! I’ve honestly learned and have gotten so use to it, that I just drown the people around me out, and just focus on getting the shot right!

2. Wireless Remote Control

This is the 2nd must have! I am fortunate to have a camera with a wifi option that can be hooked up to my phone with an app, so I can see what I am doing and take the picture from my phone! On the other hand, before I got my fancy shmancy camera, I used a wireless remote control to focus all of my shots, and take the picture for me! This will make it so much easier for you, because it will you to stand in frame, while it focuses you in, and takes the shot for you! There are remotes that are specifically for Canon, Nikon, and DSLR cameras, and they are less than $10 on amazon!

Here are few to look at!:

Canon Remote Control with Carrying Case

Amazon DSLR Remote

3. Be Confident

I have to admit, it is way easier and so much less awkward when you have a person taking your pictures in public versus using a tripod and doing it yourself. Yes, I would much rather have my boyfriend take them for me, but I’ve had to learn how to be confident in public. Yes, I’ve had people honk at me while passing, stop, stand, and watch me while I’m taking pictures like they’ve never seen a camera before, and quite frankly it can just be very awkward, and I’m already a pretty awkward girl! ahaha.

Like I said before, once you drown out the people around you, and stop thinking about all the people staring at you, it will not only make the time go by quicker, but it will make the photo 10x better! When I feel awkward, I look awkward in photos, so just act natural, and have fun with it!

4. Plan and Practice Before Shooting

Shooting pictures will become way easier, and take less time when you already know what locations and poses you want to do in advance. I always practice different poses in the mirror before I go shoot, because different outfits look better with different poses, and also doing the same poses over and over again get boring and repetitive! Don’t be afraid to switch it up, have fun in your shots, while referring back to #3! I have to admit, I do have my go-to poses for shooting, but I’m still learning to switch them up from time to time!

5. Locations

I’ve had trouble with this category more than a few times! I’ve chosen not to shoot in specific spots or areas, because A it would be so difficult to set up a tripod, and B it would be too crowded. I certainly don’t ever want my camera to get broken, or sometimes I just say screw it, and I take pictures of myself, while my camera is in the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge! 😂

As a result of not having someone taking my pictures all the time, I have to think about my location choices more. I try to decide which spot would be easiest for me to shoot in with a tripod. So this would also be useful if you aren’t ready to fully commit to shooting in public around people yet! You can decide to shoot in a more private area to A have your tripod and equipment be safe, and B you warming up to the idea of shooting your own photos. Here are a list of great secluded places that would be perfect for shooting at:

  • a park with lots of trees and greenery
  • a white or red brick wall/side of a building, which I still use all the time!
  • a grungy back alley where not a lot of people walk (please make sure it is a safe area by the way!)
  • hiking trails
  • a secluded beach
  • anywhere outdoorsy really! 🌲
  • your own home! I’ve taken several pictures of mine in my own bedroom!

Use your imagination, and get creative! Some of my best shoots have been shot in the weirdest places; its all about composition!

6. Editing

Editing will make or break the photo, in my opinion! There are several different options when it comes to picture editing, but I currently edit all my pictures using Lightroom. For a majority of my blogging/YouTube career I used the app VSCO to edit all my pictures, which worked really well, but recently I started using Lightroom! I like Lightroom, because you can adjust specific colors in the pictures, and really customize each photo to your liking.

I certainly am not a professional photographer, but I am trying my best to learn the ways of such an amazing art! There is so much to learn about photography, and it truly has been a fun rollercoaster learning about photography, and everything that comes with it! I hope this post helped anybody who is interested in starting photography, whether it’s in fashion, lifestyle, travel or anything really, or just for someone who wants to step up their Instagram game a little more! Let me know if you have any questions about my equipment, lighting, etc!

THE MOST COMFORTABLE SWEATER FOR WINTER

sweater: Free People || jeans: Urban Outfitters || booties: Chinese Laundry || belt: Lulus (similar) || rings: Shein || headband: I have no idea ahaha: ill link a similar one

I’m about to tell you about the most comfortable and cutest sweater for winter; brace yourselves y’all!! Nothing annoys me more than an itchy and uncomfortable sweater…. It is actually one of my biggest pet peeves in clothing when something is super itchy! When it comes to sweaters, I will usually pay good money for a comfortable sweater, because I not only want it to keep me warm, but also for it to be comfortable! But have no fear, this sweater is not only cute and comfy, BUT it’s also currently ON SALE, which is like the cherry on top! This sweater comes in two colors: this one, and a turquoise color!

SWEATER

OK, we all know that I have an obsession with Free People…. it’s no secret hahaha. If anyone knows anything about Free People, they know that it’s super pricey, so I am always scrolling through the sale section of FP to find affordable pieces to satisfy my FP obsession!! This sweater is currently on sale on Free People’s website! It is originally $148, and is on sale for $49!! Shout out to Sarah Belle Elizabeth for originally posting about this sale, and helping a girl fuel her FP obsession, you the real MVP!!

JEANS

Cropped flared jeans are my new obsession! They are so flattering, and are different than a regular pair of jeans. These jeans that I purchased from Urban Outfitters fit true to size, and are the flattering and comfortable pair of flare jeans that I’ve tried. I tried the Top Shop version of the flare jeans, and they weren’t as comfortable as these UO ones, because they were super stiff! They are only $64, which sounds a little expensive, but when thinking about a good pair of denim jeans, some cost +$100, so it’s a steal!

BOOTIES

Since New Jersey had a “heat wave”, and it was 73 degrees today, I decided to break out my mule booties! I know I am going to wear the heck outta these booties in the this summer and fall! It’s a little too cold to wear these in the winter, but it was perfect for a day like today! I have a hardcore obsession with booties, but the reason why I bought these is because they are backless! I love the look of these, and it switches up the traditional look of a bootie. They are from Chinese Laundry, and I picked them up on sale at a local boutique called South Moon Under, but these can easily be found online at Nordstrom!

To finish off the outfit, I added some boho touches with a ton of rings I got from Shein for like $5, & a lace headband I got like 10 years ago lol

This is probably one of my if not my favorite outfit I’ve posted about on my blog! It’s simple, but so cute! I hope y’all enjoyed this blog post!

CHRISTMAS IN NEW YORK CITY

“It’s Christmas time in the cityyyyyyyy” Legit sing this song non stop every year I go to NYC ahaha

One of my favorite things to do during the Christmas season is going to New York City! There is just something about it: The beautiful Christmas lights on the buildings, the roasted chestnuts smell lingering down the streets, the hustle and bustle, and walking snowy Central Park with a hot chocolate in hand! I am DEFINITELY not a city person, but the only time I really do love NYC is around Christmas time!

I actually decided that I wanted to go to New York City strictly for blog post reasons and some content, but my mom and I made a little NYC trip out of it!

top: H&M || bottoms: H&M || jacket: Charlotte Russe || booties: TJ Maxx || cabby hat: Forever 21 || sunglasses: SojoS vision || bag: Free People

First stop on the day trip to New York City was Brooklyn, NY! Ive always seen and heard wonderful things about Brooklyn, (my love for Gossip Girl might have something to do with it) but never made it across the bridge any time I visited Manhattan. This time I wanted to go there first to walk the bridge! If you guys didn’t know, the top level of the Brooklyn Bridge is made for pedestrians to walk across it, and the bottom level is for the cars. There was a quick and easy little stairway that led straight up to the Brooklyn Bridge! The view was incredible, and I highly recommend walking the bridge if you are visiting Brooklyn: its a must!

This outfit was perfect, and I wasn’t cold at all surprisingly!! You can’t see, but I actually wore layers underneath my sweater, and jeans for extra warmth! That is always a tip for me, I always wear long sleeve undershirts, and leggings underneath my jeans for extra warmth, and it worked perfectly (except my hands, they froze, they froze hard).

This entire outfit is super affordable! This fur coat that looks expensive as hell was only $30 from Charlotte Russe! The embellished jeans were on sale for $20 from H&M! The trendy cabby hat that I am wearing was $12 from Forever 21! This embellished sweater from H&M is on sale currently for $29.99! The booties, which are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn and highly recommend for looking cute/being comfortable, are from Dr Scholls and I found them at TJ Maxx! I got my sunglasses off of Amazon for less than $10! And of course, I had to finish the look off with something from Free People (its my favorite).

Once we were done in Brooklyn, we headed over the bridge, and tried to find a parking garage to park in, because driving in New York City is a freaking nightmare!! PRO TIP: don’t be like me, take the train into New York City, it takes you right next to Madison Square Garden, and it so much better than driving around! While we were trying to find parking, we came across a restaurant I had fallen in love with from seeing pictures on Instagram, and I told my mom about it before we came to New York City, so of course we had to stop and find a parking spot! Rolf’s German Restaurant is CHRISTMAS GOALS!! We waited outside in a long line to get in and get a table for about an hour, because reservations were booked until after Christmas, but it was so worth it! Even though 2 glasses of Gluhwein (mulled wine) was $34, the atmosphere was beyond beautiful, just look at the pictures!!

Once I was stuffed with German food & mulled wine, we decided to walk around and look at all the Christmas lights on the buildings! My favorite were the Christmas lights on Saks 5th Avenue building right across the street from Rockefeller Center! Once we were done walking 5th Avenue, and looking at the lights, I had to do some shopping! Of course, since we were at Rockefeller Center, I had to go across the street, and go into the Free People! I fan girled the entire time I was in that store, because damn it was a nice store!! Before we left Rockefeller Center, I had to get chocolate. My deep obsession with Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels is real, so my mom and I went to our favorite chocolate shop: Teuscher Chocolates, which is right near the Channel Gardens where you can watch the light show on the Saks 5th Avenue building!

Once were were done shopping, we headed to Bryant Park, which is right near Rockefeller Center, and walked around the Christmas market they have each year! I didn’t get any pictures, because by that time, but hands were too numb to even worry about my phone or camera!

dress: Forever 21 || hat: Forever 21 (another option) || belt: Topshop || tights: Urban Outfitters || booties: TJ Maxx

So funny story about these 2 pictures above…. I decided to include these 2 pictures in this post, because they are in Brooklyn, BUT they are not from the same day we went. This was actually a couple days after we went to NYC. Cash texted me on Wednesday, and told me he was about 2 1/2 hours away (he’s regularly 6 hours away) for work, and he was staying overnight! So of course since he was “close” I decided to drive up there after work! Since he was staying right outside of Yonkers, NY, I had to pass right by NYC/Brooklyn! I brought an outfit to shoot, and went to Brooklyn on my way home the next day! This outfit definitely isn’t as practical as the one I wore to NYC a couple days before that, but I thought this red dress (that is less than $20 from Forever 21) looked amazing with the contrast of the Brooklyn/Manhattan Bridge! This “photoshoot” lasted a good 15 minutes, because my hands became numb to the point they were bright red, and I couldn’t press the buttons on my camera ahahah, so I went home! (At least I got 2 shots out of it!) Brooklyn, I will explore you more one day, when I’m not dying of frost bite!

I hope y’all enjoyed this New York City blog post/outfit idea, and have a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

SNOW DAY IN UPSTATE NEW YORK

Happy New Year! It’s finally 2018!

This is my first blog post of the new year, and I though it’d be perfect to share with you guys what I did to ring in the new year!!

This year I spent my New Years weekend in Upstate New York with my boyfriend, Cash! With it being Upstate New York in the winter, you can almost guarantee there is going to be snow, so thank God I packed accordingly! My ultimate goal was to look cute, BUT be warm, and I think I succeeded!

hat: American Eagle || scarf: South Moon Under || gloves: LL Bean (similar linked) || coat: Forever 21 (similar) || jeans: Lulus || boots: Timberland

If there is one thing I think you guys need that is a must for the winter time, it’s THESE BOOTS! These boots are super cute, and very warm! They are Timberlands, and have fur inside to keep your feet warm. AND they’re waterproof, so they are the ultimate cute/practical winter boots!

This scarf is the second thing I think you guys need! A it’s a blanket scarf, so duh it’s a must! And B the colors on the scarf are adorable! Again, super cute and super warm!

I scored this coat from Forever 21 a couple months ago, for $20, which is a steal! It’s a huge teddy bear hooded coat, and it’s the softest and most comfortable coat own!

Lastly, these gloves are again CUTE BUT WARM! Cash got me these gloves for Christmas last year from LL Bean, and who doesn’t love mittens! Like the cutest word in world is mittens!! They are lined with fur, so they are super warm!

Upstate New York is beyond beautiful, and I’m so lucky I got to spend my last moments of 2017, and first moments of 2018 in Upstate NY with my love again this year! I hope y’all enjoyed this post, and it gave you an cute outfit idea for a snow day wherever you are from!

TRIBAL-PRINT INSPIRED || BOHO STYLE

poncho: Forever 21 || sweater: bp. Nordstrom || jeans: H&M || booties: Forever 21 || sunglasses: sojoS vision

I honestly had no idea what to title this blog post, but I knew I had to make a post about this outfit, because it is the perfect casual OOTD for fall/winter! This outfit is very inexpensive, and is easy to put together without having to buy the entire outfit!

I bought this tribal-print poncho from Forever 21, and the best part about it is IT’S REVERSIBLE!!

It’s less than $40, and it is so easy to pair with any outfit for extra warmth!

The jeans are another thing that kind of blew my mind! I found them at H&M for $20! No good quality pair of jeans are 20 dollars…that just doesn’t happen! They are the perfect high-waisted jeans, and fit perfectly!

This whole outfit includes staple pieces I already owned, and that I put together to pair perfectly with the poncho! I’m pretty sure a majority of people own a black sweater, jeans, black booties, and a belt, so this outfit is very easy for everyone! It was very inexpensive to put together, because I already owned 90% of the outfit! One of my tricks/tips is to try and work with what you already have, and either trying to add onto it with say a patterned poncho, or an accessory instead of buying a whole new outfit! I have been trying to do this lately, because being a fashion blogger is not a cheap job, and I can’t always afford to buy brand new full outfits!

I hope y’all enjoyed this casual outfit idea for the fall/winter time! On the other hand, I guess my attire is going to have to change now since it snowed on the east coast ahahah (breaking out my snow boots currently)

CASUAL STREET STYLE

coat: zara (similar from F21) || top: forever 21 || pants: forever 21 || booties: forever 21 || hat: forever 21

I have been seeing this style everywhereeeeeeeee on Instagram, and I low-key love it! At first, I didn’t think it was my style, nor did I think I could pull it off, and I actually love this outfit!

The great thing about this outfit is, (besides the jacket) it is all from Forever 21!

I always find great trendy items from Forever 21, especially online, because they have so much more on their website vs in stores.

Coat:

I found this jacket at Zara, and honestly it was worth every single penny! I see these types of coats everywhere, and I knew when I tried it on in the store and felt how warm it was I was sold! Yes, it was pretty pricey, but this jacket will last me forever, and ill pay for warmth all day everyday! Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the exact coat, because Zara’s website is so freaking confusing, BUT I did link a similar one I found on Forever 21 for legit half the price!

Pants:

These pants are $17.90….$17.90!!! That is such a great price, for such great quality pants! I really don’t like to spend too much money on “trendy” items, because they usually are trendy for very long! Pro tip: spend your money on expensive purchases for staple items like jeans, jackets, etc. and try and find sales and deals for trendy items that aren’t timeless! I got a medium, because they were the only ones left in store, and I didn’t want to pass up the great deal of these pants, but if I could I would rather have a size small!

Hat:

I was so hesitant on buying this hat for weeks, because I didn’t know if A I liked the new trend, and B if I could pull it off! I found this suede black cabby hat at Forever 21, and decided to say screw it, and try the trend out! The hat was only $15, so if I ended up not liking the trend I wouldn’t feel too bad about not wearing it! BUT HONESTLY, I actually really love this hat! I am currently searching for a brown one to go with other outfits. One thing I love about fashion is experimenting with different looks and styles; sometimes they don’t work out, and sometimes they do!

Top:

Not much to say about this top, except its a stable piece! This a plain white knitted top, and can be layered under tops for more warmth and/or paired with anything basically: jeans, plaid pants, skirts, shorts, anything! I found this top in stores at Forever 21, and tried to find the exact online, but I couldn’t so I linked a similar one!

Booties:

I picked up these suede beige booties up from Forever 21 over the summer, and I’m so glad I bought them! They are so comfortable, and I get so much use out of them! I mostly own brown and black boots, so it was nice to switch it up and have a lighter pair of shoes for more options with my looks! You can buy them from Forever 21 for less than $35, and are absolutely worth it!

I hope y’all enjoyed this outfit and this post! I love breaking out of my comfort zone, and trying new things in life, and fashion is a perfect way to do that! Don’t be afraid to try new things, and just live life!

Essentials For Perfect Gift Wrapping

1. Wrapping Paper

No brainer ahaha. When it comes to buying wrapping paper, first figure out what type of theme/color scheme you are going for. For me it was neutrals/rustic/boho (which is my style basically in everything). I chose 4 different wrapping papers that I got all from Home Goods! They all complimented each other, but still brought in the specific theme I wanted. My favorite one I chose has to be the pine tree patterned one!

2. Ribbon/String

These were a $1…A DOLLAR! I found all three of these strings from the $1-$5 section in Target! (if you don’t know what section that is, YOU ARE NOT LIVING). I got 3 different strings, because I didn’t know whether I was going to use the gold, red, or green one. Also, I wouldn’t be too upset if I didn’t use all of them, since they were only a dollar each!

3. Gift Tags

I’m pretty sure this is a no brainer as well! These are essential, so you know who the hell to give which gift to!! I’m super against tacky Christmas wrapping, but that is where Target comes in handy! Their Christmas line with Sugar Paper is so stinkin’ adorable, so that is where I got my gift tags from! They are super simple, but still bring in the neutral/gold vibe that I was going for!

4. Add Ons/Special Touches

This has to be my favorite thing I chose to do for my wrapping this year! It just makes the presents so much more personable than just wrapping them with paper!

I got the bundle of the glittered pine from Michaels! This was a perfect touch to add more of the rustic theme into my gift wrapping. I absolutely love how this looked on some of the presents, and was like the cherry on top!

My favorite thing I did was add new and old Polaroid photos onto some of the presents! This not only is a unique way of saying who the present is for, but it also is a great way to bring back some old memories into your presents! For my anniversary gift I gave Cash, I put one of the first pictures we ever took together on it, so bring back memories of us first meeting in college! This is perfect opportunity to put old baby pictures, and pictures of you, your family/siblings when you were younger!

Since I don’t have a polaroid camera, I just took the picture and added a polaroid border around it on www.picmonkey.com! Super easy to do!

I hope this gives y’all some ideas on how to make your gifts look like a professional wrapped them, but they didn’t, you did! 😉

I have a vlog of me wrapping gifts on my Youtube channel, if y’all want to check it out, ill leave the link right here 🙂

I actually ended up getting him this for our 4 year anniversary, and always like getting him something a little more sentimental on our anniversary! Not only did he need a watch, but there is also more to this gift than just a beautiful watch! This watch is made out of reclaimed American Oak barrels that were once used to store bourbon whiskey for up to 4 years! I thought this was perfect since my boyfriend’s favorite drink in the world is whiskey! But wait theres more! For every watch sold, 10 trees are planted! This just topped off the gift, since my boyfriend is really into environmental sustainability, wildlife, etc. It is such a unique gift to get any man in your family/life, and I can guarantee not everyone will have this gift, which makes it more special.

2. Engraved Whiskey Glasses

I got this exact set for my boyfriend Cash for Christmas last year, and he loved it! I ended getting his monogram, and it came out great! Not only did they come out great, but by buying from Etsy you are supporting a small business, which in my opinion is way better than buying from big businesses! This is a universal gift, and is a perfect gift for any man in your life!

3. Nintendo NES Classic Edition

This Nintendo gaming system is such a throwback for any 90s kids! I actually got this gift for Christmas, and I thought it would be a perfect unique gift for your brother or boyfriend! It it so much fun to play individually or together with others, and brings back so many amazing memories from my childhood!

4. Black Rifle Coffee Company

I don’t know if receiving coffee as a gift is weird or not, but to be honest I’d freaking love it!! ahaha This coffee was another gift to my boyfriend for Christmas, and he loved it, and ended up buying more! They’re an American company that is veteran owned! There are two specific types of coffee that send proceeds to support our military and law enforcement. I love gifts that are not only special for the person who is receiving it, but it also gives back to others or does something good for this world.

5. Whiskey-Flavored Chocolate

I always like getting small gifts that remind me of someone, whether they are gag gifts, or just a little something that reminds me of a specific person. I was in Target shopping for Christmas ornaments when I came across this while I was actually on the phone with my boyfriend Cash, and thought it would be perfect for him! There are three different chocolate bars that come in this trio that are all different flavors of whiskey. The three different flavors are Scottish Whiskey Chocolate, Bourbon Whiskey Chocolate, and Honey Whiskey Chocolate. This is just a perfect small little gift for any man who’s favorite happy hour choice is whiskey!

Cash and I are actually exchanging gifts the first week of December, because that is when we will see each other in December, and it’s our 4 year anniversary! So, I had to do a ton of Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving even came!

I hope this gave y’all some inspiration on what to get all the men in your life for the holidays this year!! I hope y’all enjoyed your Thanksgiving, and are excited for the holiday season this year!

Fall Florals.

Let’s be real. Anything with the word “fall” in it, I love.

Floral Dress | Jacket (similar) | Booties | Handbag

When it comes to fall, one of my favorites things about it is fall fashion. I love fall fashion, and I get so excited for this time of year because of that! I purchased this dress from Nordstrom when I was shopping the other day. This just screamed “fall transition” to me! This dress is perfect for those warmer fall days, where you are kind of confused on what to wear, because the weather in the morning versus the afternoon are total opposites! This fall floral dress and the mesh under shirt are all one piece, AND it’s under $30!! It’s a steal! Another great thing about this dress is it has the colors of fall in it.

To add a little extra sass and warmth, I paired this dress with a black fur jacket that I got from Miss Selfridges, which is a UK brand. Unfortunately, I can’t find the exact jacket I’m wearing, but I did link a similar one for you guys! This dress is perfect to layer with, and makes it super easy for you to work with that annoying fluctuating weather! Also, to add to the edgy vibe of this outfit, I paired the dress with studded booties that I purchased from Forever 21 for under $40! Lastly, I added a Chanel inspired handbag to finish off the look! This whole outfit is super inexpensive, except for the jacket. On the other hand, a dupe can easily be found at H&M, Asos, or Forever 21! Florals aren’t just for spring, and I love incorporating it into my fall looks this season!

I hope you all enjoy!

Embroidery + Corduroy

What’s better than one hot fashion trend? TWO hot fashion trends!

Embroidery and corduroy are two fashion trends that have been blowing up everywhere lately! I have seen so many stores releasing jackets, jeans, shirts, etc with both embroidery and corduroy!

When I came across these jeans in Abercrombie I fell in love with the specific color combo and flower embroidery on the jeans! Mauve is one of my favorite colors, and I fell in love. Also, the jeans have an adorable ankle detail that is another trend right now! I’m just super trendy wearing this outfit!

I’ve also been seeing corduroy jackets all over Pinterest and travel posts, and I thought it would be perfect jacket for the fall time and just in general! It has built in faux fur throughout the entire jacket, not just the collar, so its SUPER warm, which is the main reason why I bought it. It”s also from Forever 21, so super inexpensive!

I paired the jeans and this jacket with a simple baby pink tee from American Eagle, a brown belt from ASOS, and some white leather slip on Vans to complete this super trendy/casual OOTD!
